- 2drinksbehind: @mjcarrasquillo this was on takeoff. I'm not sure, but I would speculate some type of mechanical failure.

Twitterer relates his experience in Denver plane crash
Tonight on twitter, I saw the announcement that a plane had crashed at Denver International at least 20 minutes prior to any major news outlet covering the story. What was even more amazing, is that one of the passengers was a twitter user who was one degree away, allowing me to easily find and follow him. Here's the story you probably even now won't get on the major news. To read this properly you need to scroll down and read it from bottom to top.
Note: This was his second experience crashing in an airliner....

Amazing.
Glad he and the rest of the passengers are ok. There are 2 critically injured so my thoughts are with them. Technology is amazing. We wouldn't get this type of report on a TV news network.
Fascinating. Makes me wonder what
911 would have been like if Twitter was
Around and prevelant. My thoughts go out
to all the wounded - mend well.

Yes, what would we know about 9/11 if twitter or something like it had been available. Wow. How much things have advanced in just 7 years.
Got to love Twitter.
This shows how twitter is fast becoming the new source for news.
By cutting out the 3 ring circus that is our national media and handing the mic over to each of us to share our experiences - twitter has helped build real relationships in a virtual community.
My thoughts are with all passengers and crew.
Thanks for this news info! Hope all are well. I like your blog page.
