The Front Runner Is Ron Paul

280,000 dollars in 24 hours. All individual donations. The rest of the GOP candidates have to be in awe. I am and I'm not even a candidate...

I suspect that the magic number of 10 million will be reached this quarter. The 280,000 that Ron Paul has raised in the past 24 hours is almost half of what he raised in the entire first quarter of his campaign.

I think it's entirely possible that the conservative Ron Paul campaign has been low-balling their expectations, knowing that when they announce their numbers in early October, everyone will be blown away. My guess earlier was that we'd be at least in the $5-7 million category--you may be closer. Really, no more attention than he's gotten, anything over $5 million should get a little bit of notice--if he's closer to $10 million--WOW! I don't know how they could ignore him anymore.

It won't even be close to 10 million. Closer to 3 million...

Disinter, you haven't been paying attention. In one weekend on the west coast, they raised 350k. They are now approaching 300k in just over 24 hours. That's 10k per hour.

Two days go they finished filling a donation bin with 3500+ (1776x2) donors and that happened in the space of two days.

The money is screaming in. Laura may be right that it could be 7 or so but I suspect it is 10 because of something in a recent message from Ron Paul that hinted at 10 being a magic number. It is a magic number and I think it's interesting that they chose to shoot for 500k in 5 days and it will probably be doubled in 5 days.
